THE CROWN JEWEL OF ORVIETO’S HOSPITALITY SCENE OPENS ITS DOORS TO LET YOU EXPERIENCE A JOURNEY WITHIN A JORNEY, MADE OF LUXURY, CHARM, REFINEMENT, LEISURE AND FINE DINING

Orvieto is one of the most striking, memorable, and enjoyable hill towns in central Italy. Less than 90 minutes from Rome, Orvieto sits majestically high above the valley floor atop a big chunk of tufo volcanic stone, overlooking cypress-dotted Umbrian plains. A visit here will reward you with a delightful, perfectly preserved, and virtually traffic-free world highlighted by a colourful inside-and-out cathedral and some of Italy’s best wine.

A wooden door a few steps from the beautiful Duomo – this was the home of the notary Petrvs Facienus in 1500, but today Palazzo Petrvs is a charming boutique hotel. A restoration that lasted three years to rediscover the essence of the materials without betraying the geometries of the place. A building cut in tuff with only nine rooms, all with a different soul, but where you can breathe the history. The renovation project was signed by the architect Giuliano Andrea dell’Uva, who claims that the greatest challenge was to make the intervention almost invisible, so as not to affect the magic of the place.

LUX CONDUCT INVITES YOU TO DISCOVER THIS REFINED HOTEL!

The boutique hotel, especially in the use of materials, reflect the city of Orvieto. The white and black horizontal bands of the Duomo are also found inside, as well as the tuff, the stone and the environments that have rediscovered the original proportions, distorted by nineteenth-century changes. Nine rooms, nine expressions of timeless Italian hospitality that combine modern features for the discerning traveler with the historic ambiance of an Italian Palazzo, featuring painstakingly refurbished details of its aristocratic past.

Run by Raffaele Tysserand originally from Orvieto, with the desire to make it a special place, different, new, also in the dining part. Together with Francesco Perali and chef Ronald Bukri, Raffaele gave Orvieto a new point of view. Raffaele takes care of the hospitality, Ronald and Francesco of the dining experiences, from breakfast to bar, passing through the restaurant Coro, housed in an old deconsecrated church with a cross vault, frescoes on the walls and ceilings nine meters high. A place of great charm where Ronald’s kitchen has found its right size.
